About Jackie

My interests are broad. My ideas are sometimes too big for my own good, but some of them are crazy enough that they work. πŸ™‚

I love inventing and implementing solutions of all sorts.

My background is K-12 education, and I love spending time crafting a better world for kids.

I have always believed the answers to the world’s problems lie in embracing progress at a blindingly fast pace. I believe youth and progress are our most powerful tools.

I founded and directed a magical school that taught me all I know about kids. It also taught me about people, healthy community, and human nature. You can read about it in my book, and/or visit www.orsch.net for the latest!

I enjoy sharing thoughts, ideas, and stories, and I welcome your feedback and discussion.

This website is made from years of collections and experiences. It has an old soul and contains works from many years and many phases of my life.

Please follow my blog, as much more is ready for posting, and I’d love to have you in the loop!

  1. Well said Nancy. I have a very precious memory β€œof a day spent at ORSCH” It was during a science fair that was held a short walk from the school. Watching the enthusiasm of the students setting up their projects, then being shown how each project worked was magical. I especially loved the newly hatched chickens!!

  2. I was part of ORSCH (being your Mom) from the hours I would watch you play school or PTO (private tiny office) from a very early age until the dream grew into the reality of ORSCH. We worked hard and had fun staying up until wee hours of the morning setting up your dream school in its own building. It turned out beautiful, cheerful and had such a magical feel. I also walked with you through loosing ORSCH, just writing this brings tears to my eyes, it was such a devastating and heart breaking time but you have prevailed healthy, happy, caring and as loving of a human as you’ve always been. I am so proud of you. Thank you to all of the people that crossed the path of my lovely Jackie Sue, it feels so good to know she made a difference in so many lives because that was her mission. Now she is strong and finally ready to spread the secrets she discovered. I love you to the moon and back!
